Naval District Washington personnel joined area Marines and other volunteers from the National Capital Region on Nov. 21, for a pre-Thanksgiving day cruise sponsored by Disabled American Veterans. The cruise saluted veterans and included several who had been injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tougher smoking safety laws on cruise ships may soon be a hot topic on Capitol Hill. One Delaware family, who suffered a devastating loss from a cigarette on a cruise ship, will be lobbying hard for the legislation.
